SHPE National

SHPE was formed on 1974 in Los Angeles with the goal of empowering Hispanic and Latinx community to realize it;s fullest potential and impact the world through STEM awareness, access, support, and professional development.

Currently the national organization has over 10,000 members and 230 chapters spanning the United States. At a national level, SHPE consists of seven regions shown below.

MISSION: SHPE changes lives by empowering the Hispanic community to realize its fullest potential and to impact the world through STEM awareness, access, support and development.

VISION: SHPE's vision is a world where Hispanics are highly valued and influential as the leading innovators, scientists, mathematicians, and engineers.

Region 1

Delta Valley SHPE Professional Chapter belongs to Region 1, which is comprised of five states: Alaska, California (Northern), Nevada (Northern), Oregon, and Washington.

Within Region 1, there are five sub-regions shown on the left. Professional Chapters oversee each sub-region and their corresponding collegiate chapters.

Delta Valley SHPE Professional Chapter belongs to the Northern California & Nevada sub-region.
