Celebrating Halloween and Fall by finding our way out of Dixon's Corn Maze!

Kicked off the 2022 - 2023 year by celebrating Hispanic Heritage Month at The Sheraton Grand. This event was sponsored by Intel, Otsuka, and Brown & Caldwell. We had catered food, guest speakers, and opportunities for networking.

We teamed up with CALESS at UC Davis to host our first in-person professional event since COVID! We had 5 industry professionals come and speak about their experiences and held a Q&A session.

Coming into 2021 strong with a Game Night! We got reacquainted with familiar faces and connected with some news ones along the way, all at home.

To close 2020, we took a relaxation approach to a night of painting and sipping your favourite drink!

We partnered with Region 1 to host the SHPEtinas Retreat with the theme of "Unstoppable Region 1." We learn the history of the SHPEtinas program and to hear from speakers that offered workshops.

Professionals came to assist students to prepare for interviews and job opportunities by giving mock interviews, and reviewing resumes.

Learn Salsa while helping our your favourite chapter! We had a dance instructor give a beginners lesson to Salsa. 

Partnering with the MESA program from the University of the Pacific, we had a presentation about the how Healthcare and STEM intersects especially in the era of COVID-19.

We split into teams where we see who has not just engineering knowledge, but even knowledge about mountains in South America.

Due to changes in everyday life, we partnered with Augustine Orozco to present how to continue networking while at home. We had people input and inquire about transitioning to a WFH environment and continuing to peruse new networking opportunities. 

To take a break from working from home, we introduced a Virtual Game Night to allow our members to network and have fun.

We partnered with the Fresno Professional chapter, Fresno Collegiate chapter, and the UC Merced collegiate chapter to host the Region 1 SHPEtinas 2020 Conference. With the tagline “Identify Your Mark. Embrace. Evolve. Empower.”, the conference aimed bringing solidarity among regional SHPE members to support latinas. Over 200 students and professionals attended the conference, either to learn as or teach aspiring leaders in STEM.

A simple get together to welcome back professionals after the new year. At the Flatland Brewery, various professionals and graduating seniors were able to meet and network.
