2024 - 2025 Board Members

Denise is currently a Quality Engineer at Altec Industries. She graduated from UC Merced in 2021 with her Bachelors in Mechanical Engineering. She has been involved with SHPE since 2017, where she joined the Ingenieros Unidos - UC Merced SHPE chapter. She then went on to serve as the chapter's Secretary and President. She moved to Sacramento in 2022 where she joined the Delta Valley Professionals chapter and has served as their Public Relations Chair and Secretary. In her free time she enjoys reading, watching movies, swimming and traveling. 

Clement is a Software Quality Assurance Engineer at Inductive Automation in Folsom. He is one of the founders, a former VP, and a former president of DV SHPE. Since he graduated from University of the Pacific in 2018–during which time he joined SHPE and served on his school chapter’s board for two years–he has spent a lot of time serving the community and helping to provide support for Hispanic engineering students and professionals. After helping to found DV SHPE and serving on its board from 2019 to 2021, he remained involved as a member and pseudo-advisor. He has since gone on to serve as an advisor to the UOP SHPE chapter for their Dia de Ciencias event as well as help create a Latino engineer alumni club at his alma mater with the hopes of bridging the gap between Latino engineering students and alumni in the Stockton area. He currently serves as the chair for that organization.

Delia has embraced SHPE’s mission and vision since her first-year at University of the Pacific in 2013.  She is proud to have accomplished Dia de Ciencias at University of the Pacific in 2016, the co-creation of Delta Valley SHPE Professional Chapter in 2019, and the execution of SHPE Region 1’s first SHPEtinas Conference at UC Merced in 2020.  She balances SHPE with her medical device career.  Delia is currently a technical project manager for Baxter International's surgical adhesive sealant manufacturing site in Hayward, California.  Previously, she was a supplier relationship manager, process engineer and manufacturing engineer for Otsuka America Pharmaceuticals, Proteus Digital Health, and Abbott.  She will be utilizing her corporate and volunteer-based project management and technical skills for Delta Valley SHPE’s Treasurer position.

Monserrath has been an active member of SHPE for over three years now. She has held Outreach and Student Liaison Chair positions for various SHPE chapters. She was recently a volunteer on the Logistics Team for the 2024 SHPEtinas Conference. Monserrath is a civil engineer, and she currently works for the Public Works Department at the City of Stockton where she manages various Capital Improvement Projects. She takes pride in working with the members of the Delta Valley region all around.
