Diego is an Inside Sales Engineer for Air Treatment Corporation helping supply and design HVAC systems across Northen California. He graduated from Sacramento State in 2019 with a bachelor's in Mechanical Engineering. He has been a member of SHPE since starting college in 2015 and has consistently held positions to present day. In his free time, Diego enjoys learning new hobbies including Cooking, Weightlifting, and Photography. 

Ramon Zarate

Ramon Zarate is currently serving as the Delta Valley SHPE Vice President. He received his B.S. in Electrical Engineering from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign and works for Intel Corporation as a Program Manager. Ramon contributes to Intel's IDM 2.0 strategy, specifically by helping grow Intel Foundry Service (IFS), a new business unit that sees Intel design & building chips for fabless semiconductor companies. He first joined SHPE during his undergrad where he served as the Treasurer and High School Outreach Chair. Coming from out of state, Delta Valley SHPE gave Ramon an immediate sense of community. He hopes to welcome new members with those same open arms he received. In his free time, Ramon enjoys cooking, yoga, and rock climbing. 

Steven Ortiz Donato

Steven Ortiz-Donato is a Staff Mechanical Engineer for Brown and Caldwell who works on Process Mechanical projects related to waste water, cogeneration, and digesters. Previous to joining Brown and Caldwell, Steven worked for the Merced Irrigation District's Hydro Project at Lake McClure as an Engineering Technician. For fun, Steven likes to stay active and write music. He has a rescue dog named Benson that shapes his every-day routine and wishes he can bring him along to more places. Steven joined DV SHPE in Summer 2021 and is currently serving as the Treasurer for the board. As a first-generation Latino in STEM, he hopes to empower those around him that come from a similar background to pursue a career in engineering

Denise Rosas is this year's Secretary! She received her bachelor’s in mechanical engineering from UC Merced in 2021 and is currently working for Altec as a Quality Engineer. She was a part of the UC Merced SHPE chapter throughout undergrad and joined DV SHPE this year as an effort to continue her professional development and is excited to be a part of this year’s board. Her goal as Secretary is to strengthen the connection between our members and encourage more people to join. In her free time Denise likes to read, watch movies, travel and play with her pet rabbit, Marilyn.
